Here we add a touch of Apple Spice Simple Syrup to amplify the warm flavors in the brandy - it's a riff on the classic that we think adds a whole new dimension of flavor!
The drink is traditionally served in a sugar-rimmed glass (and we strongly suggest the use of a chunky, raw sugar here) with a large lemon peel that drapes over the rim, adding both visual appeal and a zesty aroma. The Brandy Crusta is a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and bitter, making it a timeless choice for sophisticated cocktail enthusiasts.
0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
0.5 oz Apple Spice Simple Syrup
0.25 oz orange liqueur
1 dash aromatic bitters
Start by running a lemon wedge around the rim of a coupe glass and dipping it into a plate of raw sugar until it is satisfactorily coated.
Add all your ingredients to a shaker with ice, shake until cold, and strain into your rimmed glass.
Garnish with a lemon rind.
