Tips from Camp's Resident Mixologist:

Hibiscus Ginger Lemon: if you want to try one of the kits with a flavored vodka, this is the kit with which to do so. I would go with Effen's Yuzu citrus vodka. If you haven't had yuzu, it's a wonderful Asian citrus that tastes like a powerful, sharp combination of lemon, lime, and grapefruit. I think it would be magical here. And it would go especially well with this 75’er twist..

Tropic 75

Simply put, it's a spin on the French 75. And while the traditional recipe calls for gin, a fun vodka would go quite well and make it Dutch. Easy peasy, lemon-sliced-and-squeezy. I refuse to apologize for that excellent bastardization of a phrase :-)

  • Infuse jar with 12 oz gin/vodka; I tend toward a dry gin like Bombay with this, but something like Hendricks with a little extra aromatics and florality would be fun too

  • Wait three days, then strain

  • Combine in a shaker:

    • 3 oz infused jar

    • ½ oz lemon juice

  • Fill with ice, shake vigorously until mixture is nice and cold

  • Strain the mixture into a flute, top with champagne, and feel fancy!
