Okay y'all, my husband and I love a good cocktail, as you all know. But my parents, not so much. They're just not big drinkers. Which is totally fine, I mean whatever, but - sometimes I really want to share a great cocktail with them. There's something special about starting an afternoon or evening together with a well crafted and elevated drink that's different from just your everyday Diet Coke.
So this Father's Day, I'm bound and determined to serve my dad a Father's Day cocktail he's going to love! We needed something light, not too boozy, of course. And summertime in Georgia always makes me start thinking of peaches. So this cocktail featuring a splash of bourbon, our favorite local peach jam, and a bit of maple cinnamon syrup for depth felt like the perfect answer. It's like a whiskey sour, but with way more depth of flavor and character.
